We had a fantastic Saturday afternoon experience at Pita Kabob. The cuisine was exquisite, featuring a perfectly prepared lamb main course and was complemented beautifully by the restaurant's wonderful outdoor seating atmosphere. Our drinks were lemon drop martinis. We shared the exceptional Dubai cheesecake which capped off a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

Review: A Triumphant Return to Pita Kabob

It had been about five years since my last visit to Pita Kabob, and I’m happy to report that it remains one of the best spots in town. From the moment we walked through the door, the service was seamless; we were greeted immediately and seated within just a few minutes.

The Vibe & Menu

The menu strikes a great balance—large enough to offer a deep variety of Mediterranean dishes and libations without being overwhelming. We noticed a fantastic selection of drinks and settled on a few ciders, which have been our go-to lately. They were the perfect crisp pairing for the meal ahead.

The Main Event: Mediterranean Pitas

We decided to stick with the classics and ordered the Mediterranean Pitas:

• Lamb Pita: Rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned.

• Filet Mignon Pita: Incredibly tender and high-quality protein.

Each pita was packed with flavor and offered that satisfying "fresh and crisp" crunch in every bite. The portions were spot on—filling enough to satisfy but leaving just enough room for a side.

Don't Skip the Fries

We couldn't leave without sharing an order of their fries. If you haven't had them, they are an absolute essential for the table.

Final Verdict

Five years is a long time to be away, but Pita Kabob hasn’t missed a beat. Between the efficient service, the flavorful entrees, and the great drink selection, it was an amazing experience. We won't be waiting another five years to come back!

The first time I ate there was with a small group and the service and food were both really good.

The second time, today, I ordered a meal to go. The person taking my order may have been new, but it seemed like they were having a hard time with the computer system and it took a long time. They also couldn’t figure out the dessert so I just let that go.

When I got back to my hotel room, there was no cutlery and no napkins in the bag. Bummer. And even though I ordered the exact same chicken plate that I got last time, the chicken was different and frankly not nearly as good. Maybe they sent the wrong thing? Then I noticed that they also didn’t include the pita bread that’s supposed to come with the meal… pita and hummus is my favorite part.

I wasn’t going to write a review, I would have called the restaurant to let them know and give them an opportunity to make it right, but their phone line won’t connect me to the restaurant. Too bad, they lost me as a customer.

I love this place. Having lived in SoCal for 10 years I didn't expect much but I was completely blown away. It's so delicious and everything I've tried has an amazing taste. I bring everyone here, anytime friends from LA visit it's one of the go-to spots. Thank you all for being here!

Shawarma plate is my fave but the spicy curry is a must try. I plan on trying new orders Everytime.
